Digital Forensics Expert & Security Researcher
Twenty-five years in the trenches of information security—a journey that began with breaking systems before I learned to defend them.
My early years were spent on the offensive side: penetration testing, red team operations, and adversary simulation. Breaking into systems legitimately taught me to think like an attacker—understanding exploitation techniques, evasion methods, and the blind spots that defensive tools consistently miss. That offensive mindset became the foundation for everything that followed.
The transition to digital forensics came naturally. When you know how attacks are executed, investigating breaches becomes an exercise in pattern recognition. I spent years analyzing compromised systems, recovering digital evidence, and reconstructing attack timelines—from insider threats to nation-state intrusions.
From there, I expanded into threat intelligence—tracking APT groups, attributing nation-state operations, and building the analytical frameworks that transform raw indicators into actionable defense. I've watched threat actors evolve from opportunistic hackers to sophisticated state-sponsored operators, adapting my methods at each turn.
Building and leading Security Operations Centers taught me that technology alone doesn't stop threats—architecture, process, and people working in concert do. I've designed SOC infrastructures from the ground up and trained the analysts who staff them.
Malware analysis and reverse engineering became essential skills—dissecting the weapons adversaries deploy to understand their capabilities, infrastructure, and intent. Every sample tells a story if you know how to read it.
Now I'm focused on the next frontier: LLM security and AI red teaming. As artificial intelligence reshapes both attack and defense, I'm exploring how to secure AI/ML pipelines and detect AI-powered threats.
